Important information

Over the past weeks there has been a discussion unfolding around the rumors about the dismantling of the International Legion and want to clarify the situation. Because some people are unfamiliar with Ukraine’s system of military units, they may assume that Ukraine is no longer accepting foreign volunteers. This assumption is incorrect.

In short: the International Legion under the Ground Forces of Ukraine is being effectively dismantled. But it’s important to be clear — the Legion is only one unit within the Ukrainian Ground Forces. It doesn’t represent the entire system of working with foreign volunteers. Also, please note that there is no official news yet on the future of the Ground Forces Legion or its format.

Ukraine continues to staff and strengthen its armed forces. The situation on the frontline remains difficult, and there have been no genuine steps toward peace from the aggressor. Regarding recent discussions of a potential ceasefire: even if such an agreement were hypothetically reached, Ukraine would still continue to maintain and advance its defense capabilities. This includes the structures through which foreign volunteers serve under official contracts.

International Legionnaires is a network supporting the recruitment of foreign volunteers across various units and building efficient recruitment channels between them. Our recruiting continues as usual, and we have no plans to pause it — feel free to submit your applications at ildu.com.ua and message us with any questions.
